Q1Is React Native still a good choice in 2026?
Yes. React Native is used by many large companies, has a mature ecosystem and a modern architecture that improves performance. It is especially strong when you already use React or TypeScript on the web.
Q2What is the difference between React Native and React?
React builds websites that run in the browser. React Native uses the same component model to build native mobile apps, rendering real iOS and Android UI elements instead of HTML. Much of the logic and many patterns can be shared between them.
Q3Should I use Expo?
For most new projects, yes. Expo and EAS make builds, updates and many native features much easier, and you can still add custom native code when needed. We use bare React Native only when a project has unusual native requirements.
Q4Can React Native apps be updated without the App Store?
Some changes can. Over-the-air updates can deliver JavaScript and asset changes, within Apple and Google policies. Changes to native code, permissions or major features still go through a normal store release.
Q5Can you upgrade my old React Native app?
Yes. We upgrade outdated React Native versions step by step, replace unmaintained libraries, move to the new architecture where possible and fix performance issues, with testing at every stage.
Q6How does React Native compare with Flutter?
Both build iOS and Android apps from one codebase. React Native fits teams with React/TypeScript skills and lets you share code with the web; Flutter excels at fully custom UI and animation. We help you choose based on your product and team.
Q7Can I hire a dedicated React Native developer?
Yes. Our React Native developers can work full-time on your product, join your stand-ups and tools, and get support from our senior engineers and QA team.
Q8How long does a React Native project take?
A typical MVP takes 8โ10 weeks and a full-featured app 3โ4 months. Upgrade projects usually take 3โ8 weeks depending on the app's age and size.
Q9Can you write native modules for React Native?
Yes. We write custom native modules in Swift and Kotlin when an SDK has no React Native support, using the new Turbo Module system.
Q10Can we share code between our React website and the app?
Yes. In a monorepo we share API clients, types, validation rules and design tokens between React or Next.js web and React Native.
Q11Can you fix my slow React Native app?
Yes. We profile the app, fix unnecessary re-renders, optimise lists and images, enable Hermes and upgrade to the new architecture where it helps.
Q12Do you use TypeScript?
Yes. All new React Native projects are written in TypeScript, which catches many bugs before they reach users.
